A Prototype Home

Here was a highly involved, eco-friendly, home. We cut the trees ourselves, then shaped the wood as well. The method would eventually be greener with non-toxic materials, more durable than the typical ballon-framed homes. Insulation would be made from hemp and walls would be made from plaster, which are all carbon sequestering materials.

My Very First Timber Frame

This got me learning about tools, using my boss's vintage tools, which were huge and heavy. It got me thinking what other tools are more ergonomic for my small hands. Then I discovered the existence of Japanese woodworking tools. Once I got my hands on my first chisels, I see the value in them and hard to go back to any kinds of tools.
